RFR Pride Banners

REWIND<<FASTFORWARD>>RECORD create unique Pride Banners as part of their workshops with community groups, designed in collaboration with the artist in residence at the National Museum of Ireland, Anthony Haughey as part of his Flag for Ireland series.

The groups are introduced to the history and aesthetic of LGBTQ+ banners, flags, signage, and symbols. They are guided through a design process enabling them to visualise their own concerns, considerations, humour, and forms of protest.

This series of banners will continue to grow throughout the project, representing the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland and their varying experiences based on their age, race, ethnicity, gender, and location. The banners are included in RFR exhibitions across the country and initiate discussions with new groups.
